The Mediterranean garden

A green town, as its creator envisaged it, La Grande Motte takes into consideration the environment and ecology by focusing on the wellbeing of the people. The town uses 70% of its land for green spaces and natural areas.

At La Grande Motte, the plants have been chosen for their ability to thrive in sunny conditions, their resistance to the salty sea spray and their limited need for water. The landscape in the shelter of the pyramids was created by Pierre Pillet, landscape architect, and Michel Germond, forest engineer.
